My writings, old and new...

I've been an avid reader since I was 10 and my parents subscribed me to ''Boy's Life''. We lived in a small town without TV for 3 years; my family read as many books as we could! (My wife still occasionally mentions TV shows I've never seen; I think the books I read did me more good!) I'm going to put my opinions of books I've read and especially those I could not finish.

"A Rising Thunder" by David Weber

This is an excellent book and the second time I've read it. The first time was in hardback; now, I'm reading it on Kindle. I found a "get books free if you enter this number" on another book I read and downloaded this for free. So, it is kind of nice to be able to have "A Rising Thunder" on Kindle without paying extra.

This book answers some questions I've had and set up the problem of finding the Mesan Alignment once they run. it also gets deeper into the politics of the Solarian League, the various governments and (Mantacore) and the factions in the League.

This book sets up another series and I am looking forward to getting the next installment. I can't believe that everything could be wrapped up in the next novel. I sincerely hope Weber does not kill off Honor Stephany Alexander-Harrington.
