My writings, old and new...
I've been an avid reader since I was 10 and my parents subscribed me to ''Boy's Life''. We lived in a small town without TV for 3 years; my family read as many books as we could! (My wife still occasionally mentions TV shows I've never seen; I think the books I read did me more good!) I'm going to put my opinions of books I've read and especially those I could not finish.

There are news reports of groups marching while chanting "Jews will not replace me (us?). What a silly thing to chant! Jewish have too much class to deal with louts like the pathetic morons...
I thought of a group of humans marching through City Two chanting "Mutants will not replace us!"
In the crowd were several Orc-Human mutants embedded in the Group by at least one Intelligence collection agency.
Several blocks away, a group of extravagantly obvious mutants dressed the part and got on the street heading towards the marchers. There were humans dressed as medics walking near this group. They carried "morphine" (find the name I gave them in the first novel) and "lethale" (this universe's version of herion)
The two groups clash and the anti-mutant group is overmatched by the counter group. Their injured are given bags of "morphine" and instructions on how to use it. Several who really kissed off the medics were given a single "lethale" pill and a bag of "morphine" pills with 2 or 3 "lethale" pills in them.
Some years before, Dent had asked the People of the Valley of they could make for them strong pain killing pills. They did, making "morphine". They also made "lethale" for giving those in severe pain massive pain relief and if needed, a quick and easy pain free death. The second was put in with the "Secret Items" and lasted for centuries; officially, only the elders knew of it but the secrets gradually leaked out until they were that oddity: overtly known "secret" information.
I had a plot line regarding Crystal running into a group of Dent Folk, perhaps South of City 3:
Crystal sniffing: " I think I smell stinky ones. "
Silent Death meowed: Stinky ones Mother smell puzzled. "
Crystal: "The stinky ones smell puzzled and now smell curious but I do not see them."
Orc Body Guard: "I see several stinky ones coming this way." The body guard loosened his tridents.
Unknown apparent Dent type: "What are those?"
Orc Body Guard: "These are defensive tools. They can be used for stabbing but were designed to break swords and to parry swords."
Unknown apparent Dent type: "Why did you present them?"
Orc Body Guard: "To make you pause. Your body stench is peaceful now."
Crystal and his wife were clearly relaxed.
Silent Death appeared to have stretched out advise and gone to sleep but his switching tail and erect ears gave the lie to this.
Unknown apparent Dent type: "You seem to know what we are and do not seem bothered. We have been evading humans who apparently hate our type - 'mutants."
Human-Elven Waitress: "We have read of such violent people in a 'Current Events' magazine but have not seen any such near hear. Our 'humans' simply do not care about 'other forms of humans'."
Why is that? "
Human: "Grow up with someone and you don't see anything unusual about them. Folks is folks! "
The human turned and went back to listening to an old Orc tell an incredibly long story about events from when he was a young fellow. He was talking about a strange human who came from Leavenworth and who collected samples of blood and spit and paid for them!
Crystal wife had been listening and taking notes. This sounded like the All Father but she did not know if it was their All Father or one very close to him.
Now I have to figure out what to do with this tidbit.
Finally it came to me:
Group 1 of Dent folks were I. the House.
Group 2 was sent to the Temple of the Way in Central City
Group 3 was sent to the Central Kingdom but were hijacked enroute. The All Father was sent west to City Five as punishment for the security lapse.
A month before Arby's folks were attacked in the House, those missing Dent Folks made a bloody exit from the location in Lebanon. This lead to the attack on the House. The escapees moved South along "The Great River" where they made contact with the Sublime Nation. They needed serious mental help before being allowed to move towards the People of the Valkey. There they went into deep cover and their members meet, befriended and married Dent's Left Behind...
Then, I need to timeline and outline the Lebanan stkries, pull together the Crystal stories and expand them, create the stories in Sanctuary. The Intelligence and magazine portion need to be created. Have Crystal to out as part of a team. Folks from other Cities could meet him and Silent Death at pre-arranged places. Have to put in the birtha, Dent and Rowena Wedding, farming etc...

It is very quiet and quite unexpected. This allows agents to make rapid and unseen night time trips. Crystal and his assistants will use these devices in the remote future just before "An Expedutation Of Exploration And Discovery" was sent out by the Grandfather of Assassins (in my first novel).
Why were those in the House attacked?
There was genetic engineering going on and some "human purity" groups wanted to kill those involved. Everyone in Sanctuary are the descendants of the genetically modified (i.e. The Half-Elves, Half-Orcs) and those very young species (Dent Folks, Modified Hobbits, Densovian-Humans who were created at the same time as the Half-Orcs and Half-Elves.
They send out "Purity Police" to kill the modified ones.
Dent's relatives went hunting for these killers...
{Stories of these killings could fill in verbage should I be running short of story whilst still long I. story. (That is, I'm at 35,000 words and seen to have run out of while being 15,000 word short of finishing...)
There is much in today's news that could fit in! That asshole who drove to El Passo to kill himself some "Mexicans" could trigger stories; the KKK could easily be a group of villians; "Lethale" could have been made to combat these groups. This is going to take some figuring out in order to put these elements in the story... (Like I had anything better to do in September...)
It could turn out trade had been going on between the "savages" North of the Middle Sea (have an actual raid or two by savages). Make this an element in Crystal's trips.
I named Crystal's little sister "Oweta". I could have her visit Central City along with Emma.
Have Oweta carry an 8 foot quarterstaff and walk like she needs it.
A group of young do gooders offer to rent a wheel chair and push "the old lady" around. She accepts as she really was feeling sore. They see the sights. A group of bigots decide to attack them. The young folks - human boys and girls in their early 20s - stand their ground. It looks like they will be mmm aimed or killed when Oweta stands, limps towards the attackers and demonstrated that even an "Old Lady" with decades of weapons training could still be deadly.
Have "ap XXX" (my hero of first novel) intervene with some serious ads kicking. This is two years before the first novel starts. Oweta could tell Emma this Monk gave away his emotions just as the "Old Ones" (Dent Folk) did...
Have the first Group of Dent Descendents calming Half-Elves around Year 17. Make it clear the older Dent Folks were calming kids down all along. Perhaps the People in Central City could have been running a day care for visitors and students from outside the Temple?
Have to make the point the Monks in the Central City Temple are a tribe and we'll on their way towards speciation.
The Third Group of Dent Folk were kidnapped and taken to a prison camp east of Lebanon where they were taught combat skills, assassin and thief skills, soldier skills and languages. They had already gotten religious indoctrination before they were kidnapped out of an old House Annex. Their God contacts then and initiated their murderous breakout. They take supplies and head west.
They run into Crystal at the Valley (home of the People of the Valley). A calm and diplomatic Half-Orc confounded then. Finalky, one of these visitors blurted out "we're genetically modifed".

Then Crystal got a horrified look as he realized he had spoken too much. The Visitors laughed and Crystal sniffed deeply.
"What did you smell Crystal? "
" Their body ordour is mostly 'gentle amusement' mixed with a small amount of 'suspecion'. "
" And you know this because? "
" Fear and puzzlement now", Crystal replied. Where did you say you were raised? "
" Interesting, " Crystal replied.
His voice tones suggest polite agreement but his body language subtly suggests 'bullshit'", one of the Visitors stated drily.
"Where were you born? "
" We were told we were created in Lebanon and were raised in a violent place. "
You were created in the Central City in an advanced biological labouratory. You were sent as infants to a Temple near the base of the Great River. All indications were you perished in a sandstorn. It would appear you were taken to Lebonan and raised there. You did not get the upbringing you should have gotten. Yet, somehow, you apparently have 'turned out all right'. Interesting."

It is very quiet and quite unexpected. This allows agents to make rapid and unseen night time trips. Crystal and his assistants will use these devices in the remote future just before "An Expedutation Of Exploration And Discovery" was sent out by the Grandfather of Assassins (in my first novel).
Why were those in the House attacked?
There was genetic engineering going on and some "human purity" groups wanted to kill those involved. Everyone in Sanctuary are the descendants of the genetically modified (i.e. The Half-Elves, Half-Orcs) and those very young species (Dent Folks, Modified Hobbits, Densovian-Humans who were created at the same time as the Half-Orcs and Half-Elves.
They send out "Purity Police" to kill the modified ones.
Dent's relatives went hunting for these killers...
{Stories of these killings could fill in verbage should I be running short of story whilst still long I. story. (That is, I'm at 35,000 words and seen to have run out of while being 15,000 word short of finishing...)
There is much in today's news that could fit in! That asshole who drove to El Passo to kill himself some "Mexicans" could trigger stories; the KKK could easily be a group of villians; "Lethale" could have been made to combat these groups. This is going to take some figuring out in order to put these elements in the story... (Like I had anything better to do in September...)
It could turn out trade had been going on between the "savages" North of the Middle Sea (have an actual raid or two by savages). Make this an element in Crystal's trips.
I named Crystal's little sister "Oweta". I could have her visit Central City along with Emma.
Have Oweta carry an 8 foot quarterstaff and walk like she needs it.
A group of young do gooders offer to rent a wheel chair and push "the old lady" around. She accepts as she really was feeling sore. They see the sights. A group of bigots decide to attack them. The young folks - human boys and girls in their early 20s - stand their ground. It looks like they will be mmm aimed or killed when Oweta stands, limps towards the attackers and demonstrated that even an "Old Lady" with decades of weapons training could still be deadly.
Have "ap XXX" (my hero of first novel) intervene with some serious ads kicking. This is two years before the first novel starts. Oweta could tell Emma this Monk gave away his emotions just as the "Old Ones" (Dent Folk) did...
Have the first Group of Dent Descendents calming Half-Elves around Year 17. Make it clear the older Dent Folks were calming kids down all along. Perhaps the People in Central City could have been running a day care for visitors and students from outside the Temple?
Have to make the point the Monks in the Central City Temple are a tribe and we'll on their way towards speciation.
The Third Group of Dent Folk were kidnapped and taken to a prison camp east of Lebanon where they were taught combat skills, assassin and thief skills, soldier skills and languages. They had already gotten religious indoctrination before they were kidnapped out of an old House Annex. Their God contacts then and initiated their murderous breakout. They take supplies and head west.
They run into Crystal at the Valley (home of the People of the Valley). A calm and diplomatic Half-Orc confounded then. Finalky, one of these visitors blurted out "we're genetically modifed".
Crystal smilled "Aren't we all?" " you are genetically modified? "My tribe is" and with that started thinking he had spoken tooUndefined notions:

Acquire info on types of magic; they acquired data on Illusionist Magic. Need to investigate different schools and see what teir orientatuons are.

Group develops --------------- Crystal is finally at the Valley of the People of the Valley. A Group of Dent Folks enter and Crystal gasps. Silent Death growked , then climbed onto Crystal's shoulder and hid behind his neck.
"What is your kiten's name? "
" Silent Death. Normally, he is much more talkative. "
" These people are fleeing oppressors, Crystal", Talking Boy said.
"Why are they escaping and evading? "
" We have enenies; we're genetically modified", one of the apparent Dent Folk said.
"Aren't we all? " Crystal said.
Then Crystal got a horrified look as he realized he had spoken too much. The Visitors laughed and Crystal sniffed deeply.
"What did you smell Crystal? "
" Their body ordour is mostly 'gentle amusement' mixed with a small amount of 'suspecion'. "
" And you know this because? "
" Fear and puzzlement now", Crystal replied. Where did you say you were raised? "
" Interesting, " Crystal replied.
His voice tones suggest polite agreement but his body language subtly suggests 'bullshit'", one of the Visitors stated drily.
"Where were you born? "
" We were told we were created in Lebanon and were raised in a violent place. "
You were created in the Central City in an advanced biological labouratory. You were sent as infants to a Temple near the base of the Great River. All indications were you perished in a sandstorn. It would appear you were taken to Lebonan and raised there. You did not get the upbringing you should have gotten. Yet, somehow, you apparently have 'turned out all right'. Interesting."
"He could read our body ordour. How is that possible? "
" There were three groups of your people created. Each of you is one of a set of triplets. One set stayed at the place of your creation, the second were sent to a Temple where they live very quietly and you are the third group. The first Group had to flee killers and are in deep cover. We dare not give the location. In a different subject, the last experimental subjects were the acceptable make naned 'Dent' and the acceptable female named 'Lorainne'. They are the last truly experimental protaktypes. All of you are descended from them. "
Does this young one you call Crystal know 'Dent'?"
"All the children call Dent 'Grandfather'", Crystal replied. "He helped raise me and was one of my first teachers."
"There are people here who can explain much to you. "

Dent Burials
Burials:
During WW2, there were perhaps 94 US soldiers who werre found gulty of rape or murder and One deserters (who was used to set an example). Thes 95 menn were executed and ghen buried in a special burial ground..
The Americans built a very nice ceertary in France for the honourale dead with great markers, walking lanes betwen the various row of and ist of those buried.
The dishonorable dead weere put in a plot of land. Each body was put in a radomly determined grave. Each grave was marked on a card sized metal plate and put on the ground . The grass grew up and hid each "grave market". Visitors to the regular cemetery would never know there were bodies buried in unalloyed land.. The names the men put in each grave was made SECRET and no one was allowed to earn who was in each grave. (I'm sure there is some office with 3 or 4 workers who don't admit to being the custodians of the records of each of these 94 "dishonorable dead". A U.S. President allowed the body of the deserter to be removed, sent to his family for burial in a family plot.)
This lead me to think of of Dent's peple beng buried along the roqd. I need to have Guard or Police find the graves, remove the bodies and put tem in appropriate graveyards. I'll have to decide if these are in a military cemegtary or religious or a hiddenn cemetary for members of eitherr "house" Have each buried with bracelets and put the bracelet name on the grave marker Much lager, an empire wide survey would find the names of the millijobs buried and thus, the names of Dent's peope woud be sent home.
I am disturbed by the desertion of the "dishonorable dead". Did their relatives try to find where any of these men were buried? We're any records kept of requests for information? I suspect that keeping a dead man's relatives ignorant of burial details was intended as punishing the relatives and this punishing the executed man. The problem is the hidden graves were filled in 1948 or well after the last of the executions.
Oh, well, this was 71 years ago. The dead are likely long forgotten. I would not be surprised if the kids were not told of their Relative''s existence and death or were told he had died in an artillery shelling or was in a building destroyed by bombing planes or Tiger Tanks or other forms of destruction.
