My writings, old and new...

I've been an avid reader since I was 10 and my parents subscribed me to ''Boy's Life''. We lived in a small town without TV for 3 years; my family read as many books as we could! (My wife still occasionally mentions TV shows I've never seen; I think the books I read did me more good!) I'm going to put my opinions of books I've read and especially those I could not finish.

I am thinking of restarting the Sanctuary side of my story. This mans a section of the life of Crystal and thenlives of the people who wre raised at the Lebonan People. @ === @Crystal @Crystal born @ Did I write earlier than Crystal had breatihng problems around time of his birth @Sanctuary had three calandars

  1. 1. Based on birth of the Glorius Gaisus Julius Caesar
  2. 2. Based on birth of the Glorious Nazareen (AKA Jesus the Christ)
  3. 3. Based on date Chleopatria and Mark Anthony made Peaeee Treaty with Rome.
  4. 4. The creation of a Nubian Royal Family in the Highland of the Southern Nile 1800 years prior.
  5. 5. People of Sanctuary and the people of the House of the FIsh (settle on a name!) decided on a new calandar: Winter Solsitis of the Year Crystal was born. Crystal was regarded as the perfet embodiment of Half Orc baby features by every one who saw hin and they ccalled this date Year Zero of Crystal (they used an old Orc spelling of Crystal''s Name and that knowledge later became something to be passed down onlto to the various people when they were decled adults.)

@Dent and surviving family arrive in Year 1 of Crystal. @Mating scheme created @Year 2 of Crystal @Given each of the 4 men had 5 wives who each bore A set of twins (1 boy, 1 girl) @Thus the community suddenly had 20 new borns @Said new borns had Half-Elven and half-Orc minders as well as the occasional Denisovan {Denisova Hominins} who visited from The Home Of Fish. @Crystal's breathing problems @Year 4 of Crystal medical issues @Dent and his people decide to see who had tried to hunt them down but lacked the intelligence data. They brainstorm ways to get infor man ation. The you co man e up with the idea of using cheap publications featuring news and stories. @@Crystal has serious breathing problems @Purging from the mines @Medical affairs lead to "outing" of Dents People @Year 7 of Crystal. @The Clan Chiefs of the Hobbits were showing off their ability to create art. They made coins. @Year 8 of Crystal @Crystal becomes responsible for caring for five four year olds.

His Sister Old Chef's Delight (named for the Old Chef's Joy at the thought of Crystal havng A sister...she insisted on calling herself Diamond and so the name was changed One of the Denasavian families moved to Sanctuary after A problem with a foreign fishetman - Denisovan or Denisova Hominins Emma, daughter of two gigantic Elves Crystal washed his kids in s large tub. None were bashful This later became A source of jokrs... @Sprout washed her girls first and het boys latrt. She got her kids dressed in their night dresses en masse. The two were friends and thought nothing of that as they were second cousins. They had other friends but someow they ended up with the same interests and were touteted in martial xxx ars and languages by the same three members of Dent's Clan. @Year 16 Crystal begins spending carefully controlled time with Sprout: Her Father, Gaius Abdur Raman, also "Gaius of the Home of Coffee" (A farm devoted to coffee trees and Goats raised for their milk and cheese). Her name was Sprout and she had been a close friend of Crystal since they four and het Father had been known as Gaius of the Second Deep Mine until his by health issues had banned him from ever getting within breathing range of the mines let aloe onto the mines. He took the name "Abuse Raman" to honor the Medical Doctor who had saved his life at the main hospital in City Five. @year18 Crystal goes to Luther Stagg's Temple to begin their Law program with minor in intelligence work @Learns that writing Wills is a minor sideline that his relatives expect to be done free @Gets accosted by outsiders - Orcs - who mockingly say "We want him to write our Wills when A rather uglyGuard asks " Why are you bothering him?" @Crystal does good work on the Wills (uses several templates) and when he delivers the wills scares these 3 when they realize Crystal is on familiar terms with the Guard known to be A Sergeant of the House of Assadsins. They had heard of hidden figures called "Grandson ofcAssassins" or the grandson of the Father of Assassins. They realized the guard could become of the dreaded Uncles of the House of Assassins. He xxx wasn't but he would be...Crystal has known the Guard since he wss four. === @Sprout begins studying Intelligence work with Dent and three of his people in her mid teens. Interestingly, Crystal is in the same studies groups.. She studies medicine as well; he studies military matters and Analytical history. She alternates traveling to the Temple every other month to visit Crystal. Several times she is rushed to the main hospital when his asmtha kicks up. The main guard thinks of her as a daughter and she stays with his family when Crystal is ill. The sight of a talk Half-Orc young woman carrying on het shoulders a young human of apparent foreign ancestors got double takes.. @Year 20 of Crystal Sprout moves to Hospital in City Five to begin advanced medical training to become a Family Practioner. Crystal begins making visits to City Five to visit with Lawyers in the Hospital. Somehow, these visits turned into dates, to the vast amusement of alk who knew of them... @Year 20 of Crystal @Old Chef and his wife and Head of House of Fush, his wife and the Aunt have a meeting in Stages Tempke. They explain the mating scheme as the first 20 descendants of man A will wed the descendants of man B. and the descendants of C and B will do so as well. This means mass weddings. @Crystal had babysat two of Ten's children and they insisted that Crystal walk one down the aisle and Sprout walk the other Both were chosen to walk the Densvia child. === @Year 22 Crystal finishes his schooling, passes the Examinations to practice Law and begins his true education: practiceing law. Sprout graduates from her mom medicaltraining and begins a very intense intirnship. @To no one's surprise, Crystal proposes marriage to Sprout after discussing this with Brother Steve and Brother Jonathan and their wives. They visitSanctuary to seek permission to wed from her parents, his parents and Dent and his wife... @All this wss predicted. They would never know there were bets riding on which would propose to whom and when...

Crystal helping set up distillery story done @Coming of the Saladin @Coming of the Saladin wife and children to Colonel Staff @Coming of Mg Menu @Set up of battle to defend Emma @Crystal moves into House Intelligence and is Seconed to the Archives of the Main House. He surveyed the records of Debts Clan. The last were the letters left in the Carne. He opens prepared storage rooms next to Dent's, leaves details of a Compartmented Project he made that appeared on the door and in only one old edition. @Year 24 they have a son they named "Dent The Younger" of the Housecof Grandfather Of Assassin's Name> @The Hobbites explain how they had once been Master Coin z sculptures who had created coins for the Empire. They create a coin with the likeness of "Dent The Younger" and hisfull on one side and one of the secret glypes for the Grandfather Year ===
    @Ng Mui China - Myth of the kung Fu Lady who among other things created Wing Chung. She married and they fled to a city in the far southwest of the Middle Kungdom. There a Merchant - actually an Intelligence Collector from the Central City - put them on a Courier Boat to City Four. In City Four, they are met by a gigantic Saladin who ta km so them to a fishing boat which in turn takes then to the City Five.# @Angry Hobbit is offended by size of Emma. Says "she is unnatural and too big."# @"How is she so relaxed looking", his wife replied.# @" She is heavily guarded. Just watch", he replied and roared in rage and started towards her.# @The young Hobbit "giantess" fell into a defensive stance. In the buggy, Ng Mue said "She II s too short for that stance".# @" It is her favourite Aunt's preferred style."# @"Is this Aunt a Hobbite?"$ @"No, what she is somewhat human and about my height. On that note, it is time for me to 'meddle in their affairs'. Think of me as a Rabbi." @ @The Paladin stepped lightly from the buggy and unsheated his very large Bastard Sword which rested on the shelf behind the driver's bench all 4 had been seated on and carrying it as light as it were a fencing foil, moved towards the unprotected back of the angry foreign Hobbit.# @The male Half-Orc moved away from the table and walked toward the developing scene. @His wife took a crossbow from an open case. She cocked the weapon and put an odd looking quarrel with a heavily padded head on the crossbow and took a firing position. @The three quarreling sailors immediatel broke apart and moved towards the remaining foreign Hobbits.# @The guard sergeant reached into a pocket, pulled out a blow pipe and put A feathered arrow in the pipe. He watched the show unfolding in front of him with amusement.@ He glanced at Sprout, the female Half-Orc and having gotten her attention, rolled his eyes. She snorted in amusement and turned her attention back to the unfolding farce. @ Her husband, Crystal, beginning to feel worried for his Hobbitt, was beginning to get...angry.@ All those in movement, save for the Angry foreign Hibbit, moved with the grace of the highly trained. soldiers. That in itself was frightening and said to the fearful Hobbits "Monsters" or perhaps "Trained Monsters". @ The angry foreign Hobbit immediately stopped, glared around and said "this strange Hobbit is a monster guarded by monsters!". He glared at the Paladin and said " You look like a human but you are probably a monster as well!"@ The Paladin gave the non-answer of "I am what I am", wagged bis eyebrows and smilled.@ For some reason the foreign Hobbit seemed to find this answer terrifying!@ The Hobbits' escort gently nudged their charges onto the boat which would take them to Palma de Majorka.@ The Paladin walked alongside the buggy taking the Han Refugees to The Home Of Fish. They boarded the Courier boat they found. The two Half- Orcs joined them and they went below deck for the fairly short trip.@ The boat's Captain joined them and said "we are taking you to a place of safety where you will meet some unusual people. Crystal and Sprout were born and raised in this, ah, Hidden City."@ "Does this Sanctuary City have a name?"@ "Yes and you might find it an amusing name."@ After arriving at the "Home Of The Fish", the Paladin looked loked at his charges and said in Latin " you will have to learn a common main age as many speak Latin and none speak Mardarlin. The teachers are very good at teaching languages as they have a number of young students."@ Says someone is protecting by er. Wife saysc"whi"? He sa you a those two Orc, the fish selkets, the giant in that odd buggy with the strange humans.#
    === @Year 42 of Crystal @The Grandchildren of the four surviving males of Dent's Clan are married off to the now traditional five brides. With this last long planned set of msrriages, each coming new born will have as great grandfather each of the four Original Surviving men of the Dent Clan who made it to Sanctuary. After that, their Bene Gessert" would have a major voice in who could marry. This wad yet another thing that set them apart. @In their future, social rebels will insist on one mate for each man. There will be fluctuatingnumers of each sex. @Crystal very busy creating birth certificates. He gets help from amused medical personne!. === @Intelligence work: @Who attacked their families. Already written about. @Findings from Central City do not make it to the West. @They need research. === @Mediterrean @Creation story of the folks in Lebanon. Already told @They went south. @Before going south, arranged for their Fathers to be sent wives. Already told @Five wives along with over a hundred kith and kin go with them. They ride in cargo boats going to northeast Saudi Arabian Peninsula and stay in Look Lebanon to revovet. Then they travel south along the Nile and the brides meet their groomes. @Getting help from Empire Intelligence agencies @Believe attacks came from the Northern Straits of the Bowl bogus @In tell from captured agents tells them of a safe house @ House is raided and they find techniques for creating km agic...this becomes two new schools...the People in the South have large archives of their own. Material from enemy treated as possibly toxic but tests to be "safe". When Agency returns and are shocked to learn of the robbery. Set out poisoned magic but the Pop people Of ThecSouth don't return. Instead a group from the " Mystic Isles" raid and are hub bedeviled by the results. They send ground forces to ass uh alt military commands in zistanbul. This starts a war between them that Lasts for at least a generation... @More magic comes of this with the Ho km e Of The Fish trading Baby God Fish to their friends who Trade with them. They have intelligence which they can share regarding ships. @Learn of @Discuss how to find those hunting them. They could ask about c people requesting information about folks like them. Dangle bait to see who responds. @Learn of attempts st newspapers and star creating their owm😚 @Soldiers and Sailors in the very old days SELECTED THEIR COOK ON AN ALMOST RANDOMFASHION. MOST WRRE SAID to be poor cooks. Have a team patrolling near a village until they settle on a good cook. Have villagers notice and be amusefd... === @I wrote this novel in 2005 and memories of the TV show "MASH" were fading and the TV show "La Femme Nakita"would fade too sqoon as well. This is a pity. I have written A brief paragraph on each. I have also included a brief bit on Crossing the Line, the Golden Dragon and Chief's Initian. <> @First, A note on character names. There was A boy who bullied me in Junior High School (1964 - 1965). I gave myself charthsis by imagining revenge to the harm this shit did to me. My character was positioned To inflict damage and later repent. @I was A Navy officer in the 1980s - 25 March 1981 to November 1988. I used the names of some of them when writing this novel in 2005 - 17 or more years since I had last seen them. That seperation is now 33 years at a minimum. (My time in the US Navy Officer Corps was a life time ago and feels like something that afflicted someone else.) Over a span of time this long they may well be names randomly taken from a phone book! @<> footnote A definition of afflected @la femme Nikita @This was Origionally a brilliant movie about an agent in a very secret intelligence agency (called Section One) which specialized in covert actions (assinations). The Operators were highly trained specialists who were recruited from violent people who could obey orders. Many of them had apparently been executed and knew if they failed, they would be executed and put in the graves their bodies supposedly were in. Nikita, in the first movie was stoned when she murdered a policrnan. In the remake of the movie and the TV seties, she is framed for the murder of a poluceman. @In my story, the Cop tries to save the life of the future Head of Section One, who wss called "Operations" and rarely Paul or Wolfe (name wss Paul Wolfe). @The Section's XO was the brilliant psychopathic Madeline. She wss once Paul's lover and Paul can't get over this rejection. He thinks she is "playing by are to get" (she isn't playing) and likes to take her because he knew she liked it (she didn't!). @Still, she loved him. @@Mash @MASH or Mobile Army Surgical Hospital was a TV comedy of actions of people set in the Korean War. Of note are the Commanding Officer (Colonel Potter), his Clerk (Corporeal Walter "Radar" O'Riley),the Head Nurse and the Catholic Priest Father @There was a news item that Priests of the Church Of England - even married ones! - could transfer to the Catholic Church and serve as Married Priests. I could not find later confirmation of this but so what? This is my novel and as fiction it is a reality I decide upon! @How this relates to th Priest and Head Nurse is plasuible.
