My writings, old and new...

I've been an avid reader since I was 10 and my parents subscribed me to ''Boy's Life''. We lived in a small town without TV for 3 years; my family read as many books as we could! (My wife still occasionally mentions TV shows I've never seen; I think the books I read did me more good!) I'm going to put my opinions of books I've read and especially those I could not finish.

COVID-19 deaths in Kansas

I would like to learn what the weekly death totals from covid-19 were from January 2020 through either the official end of this Pandemic or the current figure.  I am interested in the history of the pandemic and regard this information as essential.

Thank you in advance,

Nice soup recope

Add sausages, delete the chillies and does this sound good?

CREAM OF TOMATO/POTATO SOUP
2-1/2 cups potatoes,
diced 3 cups tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and cubed
2 onions, sliced
1-1/2 teaspoons flour
2 tablespoons lard or vegetable oil
3 green chilies, diced (4 ounce can)
2 tablespoons ground red chili
1/2 cup light cream

Bring potatoes, tomatoes, and onions to a boil in 1 quart of water.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for an hour.
Mix flour and oil, add green chilies, and stir into potato-tomato mixture.
Stir in red chili, blending thoroughly.
Simmer for 20 minutes.
Add cream and simmer 5 minutes longer.

Philosophy

Life

Life is inherently fatal.
You are born to die.
It is your destiny,
Each day merely puts off the inevitable.

I wrote over the span of several years, bracketing the start of covid...

I think I will create an outline for the depressing story I started during the lockdown.

Me post quad bypass surgery

This is me, at home after the quadrupole bypass surgery at Kansas Heart Hospital. I look gaunt and looked more so in person. I could not tolerate any food the first eight days after the surgery.
